One of my favourite plants. There are many different species. Some are quite short with slim trunks. Bamboo has a multitude of uses - even fabric - bed sheets and shirts I have !

I see individual plants here rather than a cluster. In India, a cluster starts from a small seed, the size of a paddy grain, which grows into a small plant like a paddy plant. Every year shoots sprout, just bigger than mother plants. It takes 15 to 25 years for the shoots to get thickness. It's true, the shoots sprout at high speed. In older clusters, the shoots grow to 50-60 feet height in just 5-7 days, but they are very delicate in the first few weeks and gain fibre strength gradually say 3-4 years. Is there any method to grow bamboo plants that reach 50-60 feet right from 1st year without waiting for the cluster to mature?

Aqui na minha propriedade tem dessa qualidade de bambu também e outras três mais fina.. muito interessante todo processo.. mais o custo final deve ser caro..

a important fact left out is that bamboo grows fast. it is the fastist growing plant/grass at 1.5 inch per hr. the reason for this is it grows in places where very little light reaches the lower levals in foristes so as all plants it grows up to the sun and it grows the same thickness so not to waste energy

I like bamboo. It's so versatile. It's easy to grow, grows quickly, plus its shoots can be cooked in many dishes.

I actually prefer bamboo cooking utensils over the abs ones. First they can withstand high heat, even abs claimed can handle extreme heat but never trust plastic. Second they don't scratch your non-stick pan. Third they are durable. 10 years still alive and kickin.

It's very good product. Thanks for uploading. It gives a great knowledge to us. We are now in a dark continent. Our large products of Bamboos are in unused. Our people are burning those large Bamboos with their jhooming cultivation and some people are burning because of Poppy plantation.

harvesting bamboo is the best at full moon night. I don't know why but my great grandfather told me so. and it was real. bamboo you harvest on that night more strong than bamboo you harvest on the day light.

И да и нет. Доски из бамбука производить конечно дороже, но как кругляк он превосходит дерево. Полость бамбука можно заполнить любым утеплителем, пеной или ватой в тубах. Он очень длинный, лёгкий, и при этом прочный, быстро растет, малоэтажные дома из него строить выгодно.
